Imagine that a single soccer ball-like molecule, Carbon-60, could help reduce the source of most chronic illness—inflammation.

Carbon is the basis for all life forms on planet earth and has even been observed in deep space. When this carbon is infused with intense laser light, it can form a substance that neutralizes free radicals, those reactive molecules that undermine human health.

In 1996 the Nobel Prize was given to a scientific team from Rice University that synthesized this curious spheroid, C-60, that some dub the “miracle molecule”.

Over the last decade, teams of formulators in the health and nutrition industry have been attempting to put his genie in a bottle. Bob Greska is one of these formulators who came to this subject as an aeronautical engineer researching carbon fiber. In this conversation, Greska explains how C-60 works in the human body on a cellular level.
