A warning from 1972
British comedy is known to be a bit silly (I know – my former husband is British!) but the predictive nature of this comedy sketch is quite surprising. This mother and daughter chat while peeling the spuds is quite enlightening for its time.
Fluoride, cancer, war, depopulation, spraying our food – it’s all in there. And this was in 1972 before the mass consciousness had awakened to protest such insanity.
Of course they have to end it with a comedic reference to the size of the garden but that’s the beauty of comedy.
